POSTPONED: Science, (Anti-)Communism and Diplomacy. The Pugwash Conferences on Science and World Affairs in the Early Cold War

Book launch: Science, (Anti-)Communism and Diplomacy. The Pugwash Conferences on Science and World Affairs in the Early Cold War. Edited by Alison Kraft and Carola Sachse (Leiden: Brill, 2020. History of Modern Science Series, Volume 3).

The program begins with introductory remarks by Professor Jürgen Renn.

There will be three guest commentators:

  • Dr. Jan Hansen (Humboldt University, Berlin)
  • Professor Dominique Pestre (Directeur d'études, EHESS Paris)
  • Professor Dr. Elke Seefried (Leibniz Institute for Contemporary History, Munich-Berlin)

Following their comments there will be a general discussion. Afterwards there will be a wine reception in the MPIWG foyer.
