Chen Xi studied historical geography at Fudan University and obtained his PhD in 2014, with dissertation on the migration history of China. He has been a Postdoctoral Fellow at Fudan University. His research interests include the history of migration, historical geography, and cultural development in modern China. With the methods of database and GIS spatial analysis, he has published several papers on these subjects. His research had been granted by Shanghai Philosophy and Social Science Grant and China Postdoctoral Science Fund. His current research focuses on the spatial distribution of China’s private libraries in history.
