Doktorand*innen

Die Doktorand*innen des Max-Planck-Instituts für Wissenschaftsgeschichte (Predoctoral Scholars, Predoctoral Fellows und Visiting Predoctoral Fellows), arbeiten an Dissertationsprojekten, die einen wesentlichen Teil der Forschungsprojekte des Instituts bilden. Alle Doktorand*innen des MPIWG gehören einer Abteilung, einer Forschungsgruppe oder der Internationalen Max Planck Research School (IMPRS) des Instituts an und führen ihr Projekt als Teil der Forschungsaktivitäten ihrer Einheit durch. Zudem treffen sie sich im Rahmen der abteilungsübergreifenden Aktivitäten des Instituts zu einem monatlichen Kolloquium. Während dieser Treffen stellt gewöhnlich eine Person ihre Arbeit oder Arbeitsproben vor, oder es werden ausgewählte Texte oder Filme diskutiert. Der Rahmen ist informell gehalten, um einen offenen und kooperativen Austausch zu ermöglichen. Zudem dienen die Treffen dem Gespräch über das Leben und Arbeiten als Doktorand*in im Allgemeinen und in der Max-Planck-Gesellschaft im Besonderen.

Die Aktivitäten der Doktorand*innen am Institut werden von der Koordinatorin der IMPRS koordiniert, Sophie Schwarzmaier, zusammen mit der Doktorand*innenvertreterin des Instituts, Annca Pielenhofer. Sie beantworten gerne Fragen zum Leben und Arbeiten als Doktorand*in am MPIWG.
