Wishyut Pitawanik is a software developer for the CORAL project in the Department on Knowledge Systems and Collective Life, which aims to provide researchers with tools to efficiently query and analyze oral history interviews. His work focuses on bridging the gap between history and technology by applying computational methods for exploring historical records and developing the platform’s technical infrastructure.
He earned a Master’s in Data Science from the University of Potsdam and previously worked and studied in Taiwan, where his interest in Digital Humanities first emerged. He primarily focuses his research on the application of machine learning methods towards historical documents, especially in the field of linguistics.
