Shenmi Song

Trained in the history of science at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Shenmi Song concentrates her research on the history of astronomy. She works on the horoscopic astrology during Tang and Song dynasties in China. Now she has finished her PhD dissertation and joins the “Get it Published“ program of MPIWG, trying to transfer her research from Chinese to English language and get it published in an English journal. After the program, she will continue her research as a postdoc at Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Her current work is about the coexistence of two benming systems during Tang and Song Dynasties: the Indigenous Chinese benming and the Fused Astral benming
