Julia Sittmann

Julia Sittmann is the publications manager for Department II - “Knowledge Systems and Collective Life.” She holds a BA in History and German from McGill University (Montréal, Canada), an MA in History from the University of Toronto (Canada), and an MPhil in History from George Washington University (Washington DC). She has worked as an academic editor, translator, indexer, writer and language teacher for the Goethe Institut (Montréal & Kabul), Deutsche Welle Akademie, and Ruhr Universität Bochum, among others, as well as a freelancer for institutions and emerging scholars across Europe and North America. She was previously the managing editor of Moving the Social, a journal focused on social history and social movement studies.
