Danyang Zhang has a multidisciplinary background in economics, finance, and environmental science. She received her PhD from the University of Tübingen in Germany. Her thesis addressed the topic of optimal strategic financial planning and decision making for environmental projects facing uncertainty. After her PhD, she worked as a postdoc at EURAC Research in Italy, with research interests on social economic risk and vulnerability assessment and adaptation strategies facing climate change. Afterwards, she worked as a project manager and financial manager at EURAC. Danyang Zhang joined the MPIWG’s Department III in 2016, where she manages budget planning and events.
