Alejandra Osorio Tarazona

Alejandra Osorio Tarazona is a Postdoctoral Scholar whose research focuses on indigenous agricultural knowledge in Peru and the changes in its perception following the growth of international environmental discourse. She has published articles on writing a history of technology with unofficial archival sources and the role of long-standing and local knowledge and techniques in Latin America. Before joining the MPIWG, she worked as a Doctoral Research Fellow for the project A Global History of Technology, 1850–2000 at the Technical University of Darmstadt. Her doctoral thesis investigated technologies and culinary knowledge in Peru and Argentina during the twentieth century.
