On January 25, the Science Year 2023 celebrated its grand opening with our Director Jürgen Renn, President of Acatech Jan Wörner, and Federal Minister for Education and Research Bettina Stark-Watzinger.
As part of the "Astronomical Quartet" Renn, Wörner, Stark-Watzinger, and astrophysicist Sibylle Anderl explored the question: "How much space is there in our everyday life?" In this discussion, the quartet considered the importance of diverse research and talked about how the study of the universe influences our world today.
The Science Year 2023 will look at ancient human questions about meaning and existence as well as current scientific findings in space research in both the humanities and natural sciences. From exhibitions to school campaigns to hands-on activities: the Science Year 2023 is aimed at people of all ages. Everyone can join in on this exciting year of science and research.
