Research Group Leader Lara Keuck has been elected as a member of the ALLEA Board for the period 2022–2024. The new ALLEA Board was announced during the annual business meeting held as part of the ALLEA General Assembly on 11 May 2022 in Brussels.

ALLEA is the European Federation of Academies of Sciences and Humanities. It represents more than 50 academies from about 40 EU and non-EU countries. The Federation speaks on behalf of its members representing the academies internationally and promoting science as a global public good, while facilitating scientific collaboration.

Lara is the first member of a Young Academy (Die Junge Akademie) to be elected into the ALLEA Board. One of her key aims and tasks as a board member is to further strengthen the relations of ALLEA with the European National Young Academies, and to increase the inclusion of early- and mid-career researchers into science policy advice.
