Director Dagmar Schäfer has been elected as a member of the Deutsche Akademie der Technikwissenschaften (acatech).

Funded by the Federal Government and the Länder, acatech is the voice of the technological sciences at home and abroad. They provide advice on strategic engineering and technology policy issues to policymakers and the public, and provide independent, evidence-based advice that is in the public interest under the patronage of the Federal President.

The membership ceremony will take place at the next acatech general meeting on October 19, 2021 in Berlin.
