Executive Director Dagmar Schäfer has been appointed as a new member of the Berlin-Brandenburgische Akademie der Wissenschaften (BBAW). The BBAW is the largest non-university research institution dedicated to the humanities in the Berlin-Brandenburg region and is financed by both the State of Berlin and the State of Brandenburg.

The BBAW’s activities focus on conducting research in the humanities, exploring future scientific and social issues on an interdisciplinary level, and promoting dialogue between science and society. Distinguished researchers can be elected as members.
