Department III is looking to employ Two Student Assistants/Research Assistants (up to 80 hours per month).
Dates: April 1, 2021 until March 31, 2022 with the possibility of extension.
Duties: Student assistants/research assistants support both the Publications Office and selected research projects. Their tasks range from assisting with editorial work on scientific texts (especially in English, German, and/or Chinese), to supporting project members with the organization of scientific events, the maintenance and updating of the department website, and helping to maintain databases, reference management software as well as digital repositories.
Native English speakers with a good command of German and native German speakers with a good command of English are encouraged to apply. Familiarity with the Chinese language is considered an advantage. Applicants must be in at least their third semester of study at a university in Berlin or Brandenburg. They should have a good working knowledge of modern information technology and the ability to work both independently and in a team.
The hourly rate is calculated according to the Max Planck Society’s program to support junior scholars, 11,85 € for bachelor’s students, 13,77 € for students enrolled in a master’s program who already hold a bachelor’s degree.
