This long-term project addresses the rise of colliding beam physics in Europe, especially focusing on the life and science of Bruno Touschek; the Austrian-born physicist who proposed and built AdA, the first ever matter-antimatter collider. AdA was built at INFN Frascati National Laboratories, where the first electrons and positrons circulated in 1961. I have been one of the promoters of the “International Memorial Conference Bruno Touschek: 100 Years,” which took place in Rome and celebrated the hundredth anniversary of the birth of Bruno Touschek.
