Survival in the Anthropocene

Humans have impacted upon the Earth on a scale that threatens the very basis of human life. The development of scientific and technical knowledge played a central role in this path to the current era known as the Anthropocene. Accordingly, humanity continues to depend upon an understanding of the close interdependence between Earth and humankind in order for us to make sense of, cope with, and overcome human-caused crises.
