The MPIWG Introduces Emergency Measures against Coronavirus

As a protective measure during the Corona crisis, and on the orders of the Berlin Senate's Department for Science and Research, the MPIWG will temporarily switch to an emergency staff presence on March 20, 2020 at 16:00. From this time the institute is implementing a limited emergency staff presence only, during which research and events will no longer take place and meetings will be led virtually only. The institute has introduced extended home office regulations, and those employees who have to be present for emergency operations will be working in a shift system.

Secretarial offices, service facilities, and researchers can still be reached by email.

We will inform the public as soon as the institute opens again. Follow us on Twitter or sign up for the institute's newsletter to keep up-to-date with developments.

Starting next week, the MPIWG, in cooperation with other institutions, will also start a series of video interviews on the role of the humanities during the virus outbreak.
