The scholar of religion Klaus Heinrich has passed away at the age of 93. He was a co-founder of the Freie Universität Berlin and also shaped the intellectual tradition of the Max Planck Institute for the History of Science. His demand that science too should make its contribution to the consciousness of the species, his warning of the dangers of self-destruction through the domination of nature, and his resistance to the temptations of mythical origins thinking have accompanied much of our work and will continue to do so in the future. We will stay connected to him.
