Journal "Chinese Annals of History of Science and Technology" (CAHST) Now Open Access

journal coverThe journal Chinese Annals of History of Science and Technology (CAHST) is now available open access.

CAHST was co-founded in 2017 by the Institute for the History of Natural Sciences, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Science Press, under Editors-in-Chief Prof. Zhang Baichun (Director of IHNS, CAS), MPIWG Director Jürgen Renn, and an Editorial Board comprising international sinologists and historians of science and technology.

The first academic English journal on the history of science and technology established by Chinese scholars, CAHST seeks to enrich the discipline of the history of science and technology. The journal encourages studies with different perspectives and approaches, in particular interdisciplinary research and cross-cultural and transnational studies on the history of science and knowledge, including issues of dissemination and transformation that go beyond the Chinese tradition.

Encompassing a wide spectrum of topics, CAHST will publish longer research papers and reviews, but also specific studies on original documents and archeological findings. Authors from across the world are invited to contribute their potential publications for the journal. Book reviews, review essays, ongoing discussions and controversies around historiography or methodology, and news of the profession are also welcomed.
