German humanities scholars enlisted to end coronavirus lockdown

“The crisis is a complex one, it’s a systemic crisis and so it needs to be dissected from every angle,” says director Jürgen Renn—one of the co-authors of the Leopoldina Paper on Covid-19 and Society—in this article by Times Higher Education on education and research collaboration in times of Covid-19. Humanities scholars including philosophers, historians, theologians, and jurists have played a significant role in advising the German federal government as it seeks to loosen restrictions in the current Covid-19 pandemic.
