The Max Planck Institute for the History of Science mourns the loss of Reinhard Rürup, who has earned many awards for the Max Planck Society (MPG). He was Chairman of the Presidential Commission "History of the Kaiser Wilhelm Society (KWG) during National Socialism," and for many years served as an Advisory Board member of the Max Planck Institute for History (Göttingen) and the archives of the MPG (Berlin). With the president of the MPG, Rürup published the volume "Denkorte" on the history of the KWG/MPG.
