The Max Planck Institute for the History of Science (Dept. I, Jürgen Renn) is looking to employ
Two Student Assistants for the Digital Humanities Project
"Edition Open Access"
starting as soon as possible (March/April 2018). The position (up to 40 hours per month) is limited until September 30, 2018 (with the possibility of extension).
Applicants must be in at least their third semester of study at a university in Berlin or Brandenburg. We encourage applications from students with an interdisciplinary outlook, who have an interest in learning more about scientific publishing, Digital Humanities, and the computer sciences. They should have a good working knowledge of modern information technology and the ability to work both independently and in a team. Native English speakers with a good command of German are also encouraged to apply.
The position entails the following duties: assisting with editorial work on scientific texts, literature research, maintenance of databases and digital repositories, image editing, layouting, text conversion.
The salary is paid according to the rates for student employment in the frame of the Max Planck Society's program to support junior scientists.
