Student Assistant (RG Final Theory Program)

The Max Planck Institute for the History of Science (MPIWG), Berlin,
Max Planck Research Group Historical Epistemology of the Final Theory Program, headed by Dr. Alexander Blum,
is looking to employ
one Student Assistant (up to 10 hours per week):

Dates: September 1, 2021 or negotiable, limited until September 30, 2022 with the possibility of extension.

Duties: 
Range from general support of research, to assisting with editorial work on scientific texts (especially in English), supporting project members with the organization of scientific events, the maintenance and updating of the department website and helping to maintain databases and digital repositories.

Requirements: 
Native English speakers (or similar level) are encouraged to apply. Applicants must be at least in their second semester of study at a university in Berlin or Brandenburg. They should have a good working knowledge of modern information technology and the ability to work both independently and in a team.

More Information: 
The weekly working time is up to 10 hours. The salary is paid within the frame of the Max Planck Society’s program to support junior scientists, and is either 12,00 Euro (for students without BA), or 13,95 Euro (for Master’s student with BA).
