Student Assistant (RG Ahlers)

The Max Planck Institute for the History of Science, Berlin, Lise Meitner Research Group “China in the Global System of Science”, led by Dr. Anna Lisa Ahlers, is looking to employ

1 Student Assistant up to 19 hours per week.

Starting date: 1 April 2020 or negotiable, limited until 30 September 2020, with the possibility of extension.

 

Applicants must be fluent in Chinese and English and should be at least in their third semester of study at a university in Berlin or Brandenburg. They should have a good working knowledge of modern information technology and the ability to work both independently and in a team.

Duties include, for example:

  • research assistance
  • supporting project members with the organization of scientific events
  • editorial work on scientific texts
  • maintenance/updating of the department website
  • helping to maintain databases and digital repositories

The salary is paid according to the rates for student employment in the frame of the Max Planck Society’s program to support junior scientists.
