Student Assistant (China in the Global System of Science)

The Max Planck Institute for the History of Science, Berlin, Lise Meitner Research Group “China in the Global System of Science”, led by Dr. Anna Lisa Ahlers,
is looking to employ
1 Student Assistant up to 12 hours per week.
Starting date: February 15, 2022 or later, limited until September 30, 2022, with the possibility of extension.
Applicants must be fluent in Chinese, English and German and should be at least in their third semester of study at a university in Berlin or Brandenburg. They should have a good working knowledge of modern information technology and the ability to work both independently and in a team.
Duties include, for example:
- research assistance
- supporting project members with the organization of scientific events
- editorial work on scientific texts
- maintenance/updating of the department website
- helping to maintain databases and digital repositories
The hourly salary rate is calculated according to the Max Planck Society’s program to support junior scholars: 12,00 € for bachelor’s students, and 13,95 € for students enrolled in a master’s program who already hold a bachelor’s degree.
