This workshop features the research of the working group on “Unknowing Environmental Crisis,” which aims to critically examine the concept of environmental crisis and its relation to projects of knowledge-making. Contributions to the workshop draw on insights from postcolonial studies, the history of knowledge, the environmental humanities, and crisis and disaster studies to explore multiple historical trajectories and materializations of “crisis talk” in a variety of local, national, and global contexts.
