The Philology Workshop

We will cordially welcome Mårten Söderblom Saarela (Institute of Modern History, Academia Sinica), who will present the book chapter "Ode to Mukden: The Manchu Homeland in Chinese Literary Form,part of the volume The Manchu Mirrors and the Language of Natural History in High Qing China co-authored with He Bian (Princeton University).

Sadly, our community is mourning the untimely loss of Gabriele Oropallo, a member of Department III and the Philology Workshop. We will begin this session with a minute of silence in his memory.
