Lecture by Emeritus Director Hans-Jörg Rheinberger in the context of the exhibition dropping drifting dreaming by Birgit Cauer, Kati Gausmann, and MPIWG Artist-in-Residence alumna Katrin von Lehmann; curated by Susann Kramer. The artists have been dealing with nature as a reference for art and science for many years. They all combine artistic research with theoretical analysis and initiate creative processes by means of clearly defined experimental arrangements, in which methodologically-guided investigations are accompanied by aesthetic questions and subjective feelings.
