Berliner Antike-Kolleg to Host Lecture by Antonio Loprieno (November 27, 2019)

The Berliner Antike-Kolleg (BAK), a cooperation project of Berlin’s six major institutions on research on the ancient world, including Department I at the MPIWG—invites the public to its annual evening event "Berliner Antike im ... – Personen und Objekte" on November 27, 2019 at the James-Simon-Galerie der Staatlichen Museen zu Berlin - Preußischer Kulturbesitz.

The keynote lecture will be given by the President of All European Academies (ALLEA), Prof. Dr. med. Dr. h.c. Antonio Loprieno. In his lecture Mr. Loprieno will critically examine developments in research in the disciplines of antiquity in recent decades, followed by discussion.

The program will also include the awarding of the doctoral certificates of the Berlin Graduate School of Ancient Sciences (BerGSAS) to  graduates and the official transfer of official duties to the newly elected board of the Berlin Antiquity College (BAK).
