Yuan Tao

Visiting Predoctoral Fellow (Aug 2019-Feb 2020)

Yuan Tao studied history as an undergraduate student at Peking University. After having obtained her bachelor in history in 2017, she moved on to a masters program at Harvard Divinity School and received her Master of Theological Studies degree in 2019 with a focus on the history of Christianity. Yuan is presently a PhD candidate at the Technische Universität Berlin and a Predoctoral Fllow at the MPIWG in the research group “Experience in the Pre-Modern Science of Soul and Body, ca. 800–1650.” She is working on the doctrine of sense perception of the Coimbra Commentaries and its reception in seventeenth-century Europe and China.
