Salome Rodeck

Visiting Predoctoral Fellow (Apr 2019-Sep 2021)

Salome Rodeck studied cultural sciences and literary studies in Lüneburg and cultural analysis in Amsterdam. She obtained her Master’s degree in August 2018. In April 2019 she joined Department I as a visiting predoctoral fellow to work on her PhD project on the history of symbiosis as both a research trajectory in the life and earth sciences and a philosophical concept in the environmental humanities. At the MPIWG, Salome is a member of the Anthropocene research group. In August, her article “Dying with ‘Infinity Mushrooms’: Mortuary Rituals, Mycoremediation and Multispecies Legacies” will be published in a special issue of the Women, Gender and Research journal on Queer Death Studies.
