Swiss-born Katja Jug is a visual artist and researcher based in Zurich. She holds a BA in Studies in Art, Design and Media from Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK) and a MA in Contemporary Arts Practice from Bern University of the Arts (BUA). She presents her work as staged photographs, installations, happenings, and artists's books. She has participated in solo and group shows in Switzerland and abroad and has been the recipient of various grants and awards. Her work explores topics relating to everyday life such as climate, food and constructions of identity.
