
Kim Carlisle Kit-Wah Chung

Kim Chung studied history and political science at Martin Luther University of Halle-Wittenberg, obtaining his BA in 2017. From 2017–19, he finished his MA in the EMGS Global Studies program at Leipzig University and Roskilde University with his thesis on biopolitics, CRISPR/Cas9, and the concept of population quality in China. At the MPIWG he is a Predoctoral Fellow in the Lise Meitner Research Group "China in the Global System of Science." While staying in the Lise Meitner Research Group, Kim Chung will work on a publication based on his dissertation project on the discourse around CRISPR/Cas9 and population quality in China.
