Visiting Scholar (Nov 2014-Apr 2015)

Dr., Research Assistant at the Institute for Cultural History and Theory, Humboldt-University Berlin

My interest lies with measuring regimes in the 19th century. In auxiliary sciences such as "comparative metrology" one may recuperate odd encounters of sciences and humanities. The focus on weights and measures is narrowed down during this period until only sheer heaviness remains to be of interest to the sub-discipline. Meanwhile the main authors such as August Boeckh were considered as contributors to political economy by ardent readers such as Marx.
