Postdoctoral Scholar Zsuzsanna Ihar Participates 2026 Glasgow International

Postdoctoral Scholar Zsuzsanna Ihar is a Participating Artist in the 2026 Glasgow International (June 5–21), the biennial festival of contemporary art. She is presenting her work Dual Voice, Dual Use, a three-channel video installation, as part of River is/as, a group exhibition curated by 16 Collective.

River is/as brings together immersive installations, moving-image works, and sonic environments that explore the River Clyde as a landscape of ecological, industrial, and social change. The exhibition traces the river’s histories and considers how its infrastructures continue to shape its future.

Dual Voice, Dual Use extends Zsuzsanna’s research at the MPIWG on dual-use knowledge and the histories of late-modern warfare. It examines the Clyde as a “war-river,” focusing on the links between military infrastructure, industry, and ecology. The work translates her archival and theoretical research into a site-specific artistic investigation.
