The Max Planck Institute for the History of Science Department I (Structural Changes in Systems of Knowledge), Director: Prof. Jürgen Renn, is seeking to employ an historian of knowledge in the contemporary period from September 1st, 2022 for a maximum of two years for research in the BMBF project "Socio-epistemic networks: Modelling historical knowledge processes." The aim is to continue the project after the funding period. Therefore, there is the possibility of extension.

The research project aims to model historical developments of knowledge systems by combining the analysis of semantic changes with their coupling and feedback to sociological and institutional changes.
