The Max Planck Institute for the History of Science is pleased to announce its election as a new member of the Consortium for History of Science, Technology and Medicine (CHSTM).

The CHSTM brings together educational, cultural, and research institutions dedicated to advancing the history of science, technology, and medicine. Established in 2007 as a regional collaboration of institutions in the Philadelphia area, the Consortium has since developed into an international network of universities, independent libraries, museums, and professional societies from around the world.

Through its programs and resources, the CHSTM supports research, teaching, and public engagement in the history of science, technology, and medicine. Its activities include fellowship programs supporting research in members’ collections, international seminars and working groups, and digital resources that facilitate access to scholarly materials and discussions.

As a new member of the Consortium, the MPIWG joins an international community committed to fostering collaboration and expanding academic and public participation and understanding of the history of science, technology, and medicine. The Institute is looking forward to contributing to this network and engaging with fellow member institutions.
