Visiting Predoctoral Fellow Dwirahmi Suryandari has been quoted in this National Geographic feature by alumna Journalist in Residence Dyna Rochmyaningsih.
In her article, Rochmyaningsih reports on the repatriation of the Homo erectus fossil "Java Man." Excavated with colonial labor and shipped to the Netherlands in 1891, the famous fossil is being repatriated to Indonesia along with 28,000 other fossils as part of ongoing pressure on North American and European museums to return ethically problematic natural history objects back to their origins.
