Fellowships and Research Stays at Max Planck Institute for the History of Science, Berlin, Germany

The Max Planck Institute for the History of Science offers short-term fellowships (with a stipend) and self-funded research stays in the history, philosophy, and sociology of science.

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, with deadlines on January 15 and September 15. Fellowships and research stays can commence around four months after these deadlines or later. Applications should align with the research agenda of the hosting department/research group.

The program is open to applicants of any nationality. Note that scholars whose main place of residence is Germany are not eligible for a stipend but may still apply for a research stay.
