On Speculation: Methods and Perspectives in Media and Science Studies

The workshop will explore speculation as a method that opens new ways of finding connections in and beyond historical material. It provides space for critical reflection on how evidence is constructed in historiographic arguments, examining the nature and limits of both speculation and evidence in the history of knowledge and media studies.

The day-long workshop will be divided into two sessions. In the first session (10 am to 1 pm), Krajewski will give an introduction and we will discuss two pre-circulated texts by him plus one additional reading. The second session (2 to 5 pm) will be an opportunity for the Predocs to discuss their own projects or questions with Markus Krajewski.

If you are interested in attending the first part of the workshop and to join us for lunch please register here.
