No experiments!? The Stabi Lab as an incubator for innovative data culture

A stylized image of an old chemistry book and a group of researchers.

In their talk "„No experiments!? The Stabi Lab as an incubator for innovative data culture”“ Dr. John Woitkowitz, Dr. Roman Kuhn and Dorian Grosch (from Stabi Lab, Berlin) share their experiences on providing library collections content as data, enabling and encouraging data-driven exploration. In this session, we present the activities and services of the Stabi Lab as a hub for capacity-building in the fields of data and tool literacy, exploring collections data through participatory events, and collaborating with academic partners in teaching and in research projects. Moreover, we reflect on the evolving role of digital humanities labs as they relate to the wider discussions in the field of digital scholarship

The team will come to MPIWG in person. This is a unique opportunity to get to know them and chat about any of their data you might be interested in (or find out if they have any data of interest to you!).
If you want, you can already come to r. 219 at 11:00 for an informal chat.
