PhD, Associate Professor, School of the Art Institute of Chicago

I am a transdisciplinary scholar working at the intersection of biology, the history of science, and the visual arts.  My work is published in journals such as Interdisciplinary Studies in the Philosophy of Science, Biological Theory, Interdisciplinary Science Reviews, and Leonardo as well as in the upcoming anthology City Creatures: Animal Encounters in Chicago Urban Wilderness (UChicago Press 2015). I hold a PhD in Zoology (specializing in evolution, ecology and EvoDevo) and MFA in Visual Arts. Currently I am an Associate Professor at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and a Research Associate at the Field Museum of Natural History.
