Professor Dr. Rita Brara is Senior Fellow at the Department of Sociology, Delhi School of Economics, University of Delhi, India. She is the author of Shifting Landscapes: The Making and Remaking of Village Commons in India (2006, Oxford University Press) and a coeditor of the journal Contributions to Indian Sociology. Her research interests include environmental/agrarian law and sociology, climate change, gender and kinship, and visual culture. Her most recent research focuses on social constructions of the natural environment and climate change.
