History of Science in Schools

Since 2007, the Institute cooperates with local secondary schools on the introduction of the history of science in school project work. Various forms of disseminating insights from the history of science have been adopted, often combining scholarly communication with public outreach.
For example, in order to foster interest in the history of science in schools, lectures have been given, as well as guided tours of the Institute and scholarly discussions involving classes and teachers on a variety of research topics, ranging from Renaissance studies to the history of quantum mechanics.
