Representatives of the Max Planck Institute for the History of Science, the Institute of Greek and Latin Philology of the Free University Berlin, the Islamic Museum Berlin, and the Oriental Seminary of the Albert-Ludwigs-University Freiburg discuss the exhibition "Ibn al-Haytham - The Man who discovered how we see,” and the understanding of history, which is to be conveyed to school children in Berlin by engineers and physicians from Great Britain. They will also speak about their own research on the history of knowledge in Asia and Africa and the possibilities of popularizing it in collaboration with museums. They will answer questions from the audience. If possible, the short film of the exhibition on Ibn al-Haytham with Omar Sharif will also be shown.
