Research Scholar
Research Scholars are early career scholars who have ordinarily already had at least one postdoctoral fellowship or equivalent academic experience. This is the equivalent of an entry-level academic position (e.g. assistant professor in North America, Lecturer in the United Kingdom, Maître de conférences in France). These scholars carry considerable responsibilities (no more than 30% of their time) within their research unit.

Profile

I am a Project Manager and Research Scholar in the Department III of the MPIWG, where I coordinate a digital infrastructure project that aims at integrating large quantities of digitized historical materials in East Asian languages. This project is an international collaboration between public research institutions in Europe, Asia, and the US, and involves historians, librarians, and IT technicians. I am also a PhC in Geography and Women’s & Gender Studies at the Maxwell School of Syracuse University (US), having received an MA in Geography from the same institution in 2013.
