Weltwissen – an exhibition
at the Martin-Gropius-Bau, Berlin
24.9.2010 – 9.1.2011

In 2010/11, five major scientific institutions of Berlin will celebrate their centenaries: the Staatsbibliothek zu Berlin, the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences, the Humboldt University of Berlin, the Charité Berlin, and the Max Planck Society (foundation of the Kaiser Wilhelm Society 100 years ago).
In cooperation with policy makers, scientific and cultural institutions, media and commercial partners, Berlin will present its science places, its science history, and modern science and research activities to a broader public (Berlin Science Year 2010).
The highlight project of the Berlin Science Year 12010 will be the exhibition "WeltWissen", which will be located in the Martin-Gropiusbau in Berlin. The exhibition is organized by the Humboldt University, supported by the Max Planck society, the Charité and the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences, the Freie Universität Berlin, the Technische Universität Berlin, and the Staatsbibliothek Preußischer Kulturbesitz.
Partner museums are the Museum für Naturkunde Berlin, the Staatliche Museen zu Berlin and the Deutsches Museum, München.
